YSL “The Street and I” Collection

YSL Beauty is a recent discovery of mine, and so far I like what I’m seeing (and using)! I’ve used their fragrances before (Black Opium is a favourite of mine) and of course I’ve tried the famous Touché Éclat, but I’ve never had a chance to just dive into the beauty range and explore it. YSL Beauty opened a standalone boutique store in Sandton City last year which offers a variety of their make-up items as well as the Le Vestiaire Fragrance range (I am dying for the Caban variant!). The recent limited edition goodies that I  got to try out are from “The Street and I” collection- I played around with the “Keep An Eye On Me” couture palette and the “Kiss&Blush Lip Duo", and here are my thoughts! The “Keep An Eye On…

Lookbook- It’s Still Summer

I know we say this all the time, but I feel like I've blinked and now it’s March. March! What the actual hell? 3 months into 2017 and I still feel like its 2016- I think the years have all mushed into 1 for me! When you are not changing jobs or changing years at varsity, it’s often harder to establish one year from the other. Anyway I am not accepting the fact that its autumn, and my head is still in summer, so expect to see more summer vibes posts on the blog this month, starting with this super cute jumpsuit look! I bought this jumpsuit back in December, but it’s still in most of the River Island stores, and I just adore it! I loved the colourful print on it- perfect for…

#ColourYourMood with Maybelline Lipsticks

It’s no secret that I have a lipstick addiction, if my collection of 200 lippies is anything to go by. It’s the most used item in my handbag, and the most re-purchased. I am often not fazed by eyeliner, foundation or blush launches, but the moment I see a new lipstick stand at the shops, my eyes go all googly, and I run over to it and check it out. I love all kinds of lipsticks- matte, liquid, metalized, and I can’t seem to get enough. I recently suffered a loss of 5 of my favourite lipsticks and my beloved Lipstick palette(RIP) when my handbag got stolen, and I was the most devastated about losing my lip companions(who needs bank cards or driver’s license, right?) more than anything else. My lipstick also always tell…

Lookbook- Valentine’s Day

Sometimes you love and item of clothing so much, that you have to get it in 2 different colours- has that ever happened to you? I loved this Witchery dress when I first bought it years ago and always wished that I could get it in another colour. Well the other day at the shops I spotted a very similar version of it in pink, and it had to become mine! It’s also from Witchery and I love long dresses, so of course I bought it. I plan on wearing it on Valentines ay to work tomorrow because it just perfect for it- it is feminine and girly and the soft pink colour is so perfect for the day of love. I secretly love longer dresses because…then I don’t have to shave my legs on the…

Lookbook- Date Night With River Island

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, which usually gets the world divided into 2 types of people- the ones that love the day and the ones that despise it. I’ve been clear on my view about the day before- the world is so full of cruel things and sad times, that I love any excuse to celebrate love! I just see it as another day to express my love to my nearest and dearest and yes, why not get an extra day to do it? Yes, you should be doing it every day, but the reality is that we all get whisked away by the daily grind, so taking that extra day to celebrate love is all what I’m about it. My favourite part about the day? An extra date night and an…

Zanzibar Photo Diary And Travel Tips

Hi guys, I am finally back from my trip to Zanzibar! Well I actually got back last week already, but could not manage to sit down and put my thoughts into one place. The trip was lovely, and both Steve and I very much enjoyed Zanzibar and what it had to offer. Because Travel has become such a huge part of my blog, of course I have to share my Zanzibar photo diary as well as give you guys some tips on travelling there! Zanzibar is a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania in East Africa. It is composed of the Zanzibar Archipelago in the Indian Ocean, 25–50 kilometres off the coast of the mainland, and consists of many small islands and two large ones: Unguja(the main island, referred to informally as Zanzibar) and Pemba. The…
