Beauty News – Elizabeth Arden announces Adeola Ariyo as their new African Brand Ambassador

Last week Thursday Elizabeth Arden through a fabulous soirée for celebs and the media to announce the new Brand Ambassador for their Visible Difference, Skin Illuminating and foundation campaigns across Africa – the gorgeous Adeola Ariyo. The event was held at Katy’s Palace bar which has a stunning view of Johannesburg.
A little bit about the freshly minted brand ambassador-The gorgeous 28 year old was born in Lagos and now resides on our shores in South Africa. She started modelling at age 13 and has walked the runways for some of the world’s most prestigious designers and has been featured in many magazines including the South African publications of Elle, Glamor and Marie Claire. Adeola succeeds Lerato Moloi, the previous Elizabeth Arden ambassador for South Africa. You can spot Adeolos gorgeous face in stores already as the campaigns featuring her are already out.
On arrival I was a little bit stunned and taken away with the whole beauty of the place. The place looked absolutely breath-taking- it was all white and candles, candles, candles. I would have been happy to get married in such a setting(relax Steve, its just a hypothetical wedding). Beautiful white orchids, tea-cup roses and white daises filled the room.

We were treated to the most decadent three course meal and while we did so, Musa (Idols Season 9 winner) serenaded us with love songs. Swoon. I am not a food blogger but I just have to share the pictures of the food with you. The seats next to my blogger bestie Leanne and I happened to be empty but they still got served the food, and I seriously gave it some thought about stealing another piece of that chocolate torte from the invisible person next to me. I didn’t, and now every time I look at the picture of the torte, I regret it 😉
The delicious started

The main which was the most tender piece of beef fillet I have ever tried.

A little piece of heaven on a plate.
The event was MC-ed by the ever so handsome Jonathan Boynton-Lee and half the time Leanne and I spend admiring his gorgeousness. We were so caught up in our own conversation that we missed the part where he told the guests to help themselves to a variety of Elizabeth Arden goodies at the sample bar upstairs. We eventually made it to the bar and helped ourselves to three of each some products. It was a really beautiful evening done with amazing taste so thank you so much Elizabeth Arden for having me there!
