I’ve been wanting to write this post for a while, but you know how it goes- things always get in the way! I’ve mentioned Bobbi Brown lipsticks a few times on the blog now, so it’s about time I tell you guys a little bit more about them. I love lipsticks, everyone who reads my blog knows this by now, and more so I love punchy colors and matte textures.Bobbi Brown lipsticks are offered in a variety of textures and a lot of colors, so you really are spoiled for choice! Recently Bobbi Brown became available online through Red Square, so you can pop on over here to see more. Today I am talking about the follow 3 textures and a color from each one of these collections- The Sheer Lip Color, The Creamy Lip Color and The Creamy Matte Lip Color.
The Sheer Lip Color(R315)
As the name suggests, this is a very lightweight formula that’s easy to apply, but also easy to take off. It’s enriched with luxurious butters and oils, so to me it has the texture of a lip balm, but with the added extra of having color. The shade that I have here is called “Shell”, which is a very light, neutral shade that’s perfect for every-day wear. It will stay on your lips for a couple of hours, but you will need to re-apply it through out the day, and after your have food. This is a good choice for the fuss-free lipstick lover, who wants light coverage and a smooth texture.
The Creamy Lip Color(R295)
Creamy Lip Color combines rich color with comfortable, long lasting wears and a soft, creamy shine. The colors here are more vibrant than of the Sheer Lip Color, but both have the soft and moisturizing texture. This color is called Neon Pink, and it is a rather bright and fun color. The application is also very smooth, and it doesn’t dry your lips out at all. The lasting power is between 3-4 hours, and this is a good color to have for a night out.
The Creamy Matte Color(R315)
This is my absolute favorite texture, and one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. After all its matte and purple, are you really surprised? This rich color is called Berry Noir, and I am obsessed with it! It’s just dark enough to be sexy and sultry, but not dark enough that you start border lining on the Goth make-up look. The finish is absolutely matte, but it doesn’t dry your lips at all, it is creamy as promised. It stays on your lips for ages, even after having food. After taking the photos, I had to scrub this off my lips! Love this, and especially check this lipstick out for the wintertime.
Which of these shades would you pick?
