I have a little treat in store for you guys today! Whats Valentines Day without spreading a little love right? And today I am spreading the make-up love, one of the best kinds of love there is ;). On Saturday night many of you guys will be heading out on a date night- either with your significant other or your friends. But Valentines Day is not the only time you should go out on a date night! Steve and I try to do it every week but of course some weeks do get super busy. So today I did a very fun, quick date-night look that can be used for Valentines Day, or any other date night! I am still not into YouTube tutorials, so this is a pictorial more than a tutorial hehe 🙂
I used all Revlon products for this look, and here is the best part- I am giving away a R1500 hamper filled with them! Here is what I used for this look.
Revlon ColourStay Whipped Foundation – I am obsessed with this foundation, and it even made it onto my “Best Products of 2014” post. It’s so light and creamy, and easy to put on. I prefer using a foundation brush, but your hands can get the job done too.
Revlon ColourStay 16 Hour Eye Quad in Adventurous– I love this palette because it is quite neutral and you can use it as your day-to-day eyeshadow. But it also has a very dark brown and green in it, so you can make your look a little bit more sultry for a night out. All of the shades have a very creamy texture, with the dark brown being slightly more matte than the others. I used the shimmery white all over my lids, added the light brown onto the eye lid, and lots of dark brown into my crease, to get a very light brown smokey eye look. If you are planning on doing a bright lip, stick with lighter eyes, because having both stand out can be quite heavy.
Revlon PhotoReady Kajal Eyeliner– Eyeliner really frames your eyes, so always remember to use it! I prefer having a solid black line on my upper lid, because my eye shape is very almond-like, and I feel like using black liner on my waterline at the bottom makes the eyes appear visually smaller. I use the white bit of the liner to open up my eyes a little by adding a little bit of it on the inside of my lower lid. Quick and easy!
Revlon Bronzer– Although I love powder brush, sometimes all you need is just a little color on your cheeks to look healthy. Using a blush brush I added the little bit of bronzer on the apples of my cheeks and under my cheek, to get a little bit of a sun-kissed look.
Revlon ColorBurst Matte Balm– I love the ColorBurst balms, and of course the matte ones are my favorite! For the day of love I used the red shade(called Standout Remarqueable), and you don’t need to use a lip pencil here because it goes on very smooth straight onto the lips.
This look took me just over 10 minutes to do, and the main focus here is on the bright red lip. I kept the eyes and the rest of the face subtle, and this is the look I usually like wearing for a date-night . What do you think?
Now for the fun part- the amazing R1500 Revlon hamper that’s up for grabs! The hamper includes all of the products that I used for this look(The foundation, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, bronzer and matte balm) as well as a Love Her Madly Fragrance(because you have to smell delicious on date night) and a bottle of the Revlon Gel Envy nail polish in Hot Hand(which is a very pretty pink). So we basically have you sorted for a night out here with this amazing prize!
