Calling all brides to be! You have to see the Essie Bridal Collection 2015- it is to die for! I just visited the wedding expo yesterday where I did double the bridesmaids duty- I am so excited that 2 of my close friends are getting married and I get to stand by their sides on their special day. And they both know that I have them covered when it comes to all things beauty, including the nails! While many brides opt for a French gel manicure for the big day, I think these pretty colors would be a great choice too (you can get Essie Gel in select salons too). If not for the bride, then for the bridal party or for even for the Mother Of The Bride!
This year’s collection sees 3 new colors added to it- Worth The Wait, Hubby For Dessert and Brides To Be. All 3 are divine pastels, with Worth The Wait having a bit of a shimmer to it. I used 2 coats plus a gel topcoat for all of these swatches, and I was super impressed with how easily the shades apply and how long they lasted. Brides To Be can go a little streaky if you don’t paint fast enough though. Lets check out the separate colors and how they look.
Hubby For Dessert
Firstly- I am obsessed with that name! Hubby for dessert why don’t you? Secondly- I am obsessed with this shade! It comes out exactly how it looks in the bottle- a creamy pastel lilac color. Imagine how beautiful this would look on your bridesmaids that wear a purple/lilac dress? The formula is fantastic, I’m not sure if Essie formulated this to especially last longer on your nails chip-free, but this lasted a total of 5 days (with a gel-like top-coat though). So pretty!
Brides To Be
This is the perfect neutral for your wedding, or for that matter, for any other day in your life. It’s a soft-spoken caramel blush hue that looks very subtle on the nails.
Worth The Wait
A coral-kissed pink shade, which I think would work perfectly for a garden wedding in the spring or summer. It has just that tiny bit of shimmer in it when you look at it in the light, and paired with your engagement ring, this will be all the sparkle that you need on your big day!
The Essie Bridal Collection 2015 will be available come September at select Clicks stores, and don’t forget about the 6 shades that are already available form the bridal collection- Adore-a-ball (a soft pink), Allure (seductive sheer with natural finish), Sugar Daddy (irresistible sweet pink), Ballet Slippers (classic pale pink), Mademoiselle (more deeper pink) and Vanity Fairest (shimmer and sheer pastel pink).
