Last night I attended the launch of the new Lightly Sparkled Wine from the 4th Street Wine brand. If you know me, you would know that I am not much of a drinker- sure I have a glass of champagne every now and again but that’s about it. I don’t normally enjoy the actual taste of alcohol-I know, I know I’m Russian, vodka should be in my blood right 😉 But the Lightly Sparkled wine from 4th Street blew me away last night!
The party was hosted at the Shine Studios in Braamfontein and we were told to dress up in our best 1950s gear. I love dress up parties- my year of 21st was the most fun for me because most of them were themed! You don’t have to convince me very long to dress up in a specific era, after all my own 21st theme was “Time Machine: meaning that I wanted everyone to dress up as people from different eras! We had Adam and Eve, Gatsby girls, and Cleopatra at my birthday (I was dressed in my best 1920s gear of course). So I saw this as the chance to dress up- pink, polka dots and red lipstick ruled the room at the party last night!
About 4th Street- the brand was launched in 2009 and it is premium wine that is made out with grapes sourced from carefully selected vineyards across the Western Cape. The new offer from 4th Street is the lightly sparkled sweet wine which comes in a glass bottle and has a serving of one glass of wine in the glass bottle of 300 ml. It is the perfect companion for a girls picnic, and now you can take your wine glass to the dance floor with you because it is offered in a convenient glass bottle! It comes in three flavours- white, rose and red and my personal favourite was the rose one. To mine (and everyone else’s surprise) I had a whole 2 bottles of this yummy stuff and danced the night away with my fellow bloggers and friends.
The décor and the little touches at the venue were spectacular- the was a gourmet burger bar, a milkshake and marshmallow bar, and pink flowers filled the room. We were entertained by Tamara Deys new band- The Shoowop Shop, who were absolutely amazing! I had so much fun and we didn’t want to leave until the party was over (they ended up having to chase us out with the cleaning crew).
My personal favourite was the slow motion camera! You were told to grab some confetti and throw it up in the air and twirl, and then you got to watch it on the slow-motion camera! We were doing it over and over again, and the confetti got in our hair, but it was so much fun that we didn’t mind.
What I wore- my best 50s outfit! Polka dot skirt, bow heels, a flirty headband and my faux fur!
Thank you to 4th Street Wine and Girl About Town PR for a fabulous evening
