Happy Wednesday guys! We are half way through the week- yay! As this is my final year of studies, I will (hopefully) be taking on the working world soon! Now don’t ask me what I am going to do because I am still not sure- maybe it will involve maths, maybe finance or maybe fashion? Either way there is one thing I know for sure- no matter which industry I will be setting my foot in, I want to do it in style.
People often complain that a corporate environment kills fashion because you are conformed to a certain dress code. Well today I thought I would play around with that code, and show you guys how to make the most of it. I know that the corporate world requires you to dress professionally, so I picked out a few items that are work-appropriate but still have a fun and fashionable factor to them, starting with this crop top. Would you even know that it’s a crop top under that pencil skirt? Crop tops are a hot-fashion item, and although they might seem cheeky for a work-place, paired with a knee-length pencil skirt it looks nice. And who said that the pencil skirt has to be a boring shade? This one has a rather fun print of roses, and paired with a bit of lace from the crop top it makes for a fun, yet still professional combination.
Also invest in your accessorize! I kept to the black hue here with these poiny-but still quirky shoes. They have a bit of a cut-out which spruces up the old boring court shoe. Oh and please do meet Mr.Hamilton- my new addition to the Michael Kors family! It’s such a classic shape and yet so stylish! I added a fitted black blazer to finish off the office look- always make sure your clothes are tailored, because there is nothing worse than an ill-fitting blazer.
Now I know I went a little bit out-there with my make-up, but why not add a bright summer lip to match the skirt? If you find that Saint Germain is too bright for the office, pair it with a more subtle pink shade, but always remember your lipstick! And my bright earrings and sunnies finish off this office-inspired look.
What do you think? Am I Ready for my first job interview or what?:)
