Happy Monday lovelies! I trust that all of you have checked out the first of my four Christmas giveaways, and entered to win yourself a fabulous hamper from Moleskine!:) I am also super excited that after months of waiting, I have finally purchased a proper camera! 🙂 It took us 4 hours to get it, but hey, I can’t stop playing with it (expect a lot of content this month because I am currently on a picture-taking phase).
Last weekend, I was privileged to be invited as one of the five bloggers to join the Topshop Team at the WKND Social to talk all things fashion. The WKND Social is a fun concept of good people, good food and good music all coming together in one place. The venue changes every month, and this time it was held in the Maboneng Precinct at the M.O.A.D (Museum of African Design). I was joined by the beautiful and talented Thithi from Tee Tee isWith Me, Angie from Lucky Pony, Zinhle from Zee Fashionista and Jess from the online Gaushette magazine. To top of the day, Topshop gifted each one of us with a R1500 voucher to pick out an outfit for the day. Sounds like heaven, right?
After much browsing around the Sandton store, I decided to pick out something that I wouldn’t normally buy myself. It is fun to take yourself out of your comfort zone (which in my case would be dresses and florals) and try something different. With the help of my friend Tammy, I settled on these gorgeous high-waisted, leather shorts. I would have never pictured myself in them before, but hey why not? I paired it with a silver cami and the eagle necklace. And the sunglasses are to-die for!
We chatted about what is hot and happening in the fusion industry, latest trends and what Topshop has to offer this season. The food was delicious and the drinks kept flowing, and after chatting away for hours I didn’t want to leave! Thank you so much to Kerrin and the Topshop Team for having me join you on the day! 🙂
Here are a few snaps from the day(pre-fancy camera).
