Prada recently opened up a store in South Africa, in the prestigious Diamond Walk in Sandton City. I attended the opening in May, and was blown away by how huge the store is- it has different departments of women’s clothing, men’s clothing, sunglasses and perfumes, bags and shoes! I love my Prada sunglasses, and wouldn’t mind getting another pair, or even better than the sunnies would be a gorgeous bag. The clothing selection was also lovely, although not my style. I fell in love with their bags, and that’s all I have set my mind on!:)
At the opening we were all gifted a Prada Candy Florale perfume, which I wasn’t new to, as I already had a bottle at home and loved it. Its one of my favorite fragrances, as it is light and fresh. I am not a fan of the original Candy perfume, which I find way too sweet for my liking, however the Candy Florale is a whole different version of it. Although I would consider this to be a summer fragrance, this scent will brighten up any gloomy winters day with its aromatic scent!:)
This fragrance has a top note of Lemocello, so it fits right into the citrus part of the fragrance wheel. You can smell the citrus in the perfume, however for me it smells a lot more floral, which is explained by the middle note of Peony in the fragrance. The bottom notes are Caramel and Honey, so of course I would suggest this fragrance for someone who is a fan of all things pretty and sweet. Personally, of course I am in love with it, it’s basically me in a bottle 🙂
Speaking of the bottle, the design of it is simple, yet effective. As you can see the bottle is of a light pink color, with the liquid being visible- something that I enjoy because now I can actually tell how much is still left in the bottle! An interesting fact is that the perfume was designed after an imaginary flower that was created just for Candy-unique, airy and sparkly!
The fragrance is available at most cosmetics counters, and it comes in 30ml, 50ml and 80ml.Check out the new Prada store at Sandton City, and give this lovely perfume a sniff when you are there 🙂
