I always mention how much I love feminine styles, but I do find it harder to dress more feminine during the winter months. All I want to do when it’s a rainy day like today, is wrap myself into some sort of a blanket that’s acceptable to wear in public, wear the comfiest boots I can find, and just keep warm. Putting on makeup in winter is also a struggle, so basically what I’m trying to say is that my body goes into hibernation, but sadly I still have to be presentable and attend events(like work;)). It’s a daily struggle during winter, but this year I did decide that I’m going to make an effort and find comfy and stylish winter clothing. It was kind of easy going into the new Tally Weijl store in Mall of Africa, because they have so many cute winter things!
Tally Weijl designs fabulous fashion must-haves and the inspiration for their incredible collections comes straight from the Tally Weijl design centre located in Paris, France. The trend team continuously travel around the world to identify the key upcoming fashion trends, from playful fashion to ultra-cool denim styles, from daywear to evening and everything in between. The brand launched in 1984, and made its way to South Africa last year, opening at Mall Of The South and at Mall of Africa. I think it fills the gap in the fashion market by providing luxurious yet funky items at an accessible price!
I have been searching high and low for the perfect white jersey for winter. Granted, I don’t wear white well (because I always spill something on a white garment) but I wanted a perfect white jersey that will go with everything. I found this one while shopping at Tally Weijl, and while it is simple, I am obsessed. It goes nicely with high waisted things like this skirt and I have also been wearing it over dresses. A great investment buy for sure!
I think that pastels are a great way to add some colour into your winter wardrobe. Start with a snow white item that you can invest in (be at a jersey, jeans or a skirt) and layer it with another soft shade underneath. Pinks, mints and lavender shouldn’t just be reserved for spring!
