Lookbook- Transitional Dressing

Its hump day and I am counting down the days (or more like hours) to my European trip! I’ve decided to explore Europe one country at a time even though I went back and forth with the idea of just doing a Contiki trip. There is no country in Europe that I’m not itching to visit, and after Italy, next on my list is the Netherlands! The weather in Italy this weekend seems promising so all of my outfits are picked out and packed! Transitional dressing between seasons is always a bit tricky because it’s not time for boots just yet, but the time for sundresses is definitely done. This is one of my favourite outfits I’ve ever shot and it’s the perfect outfit to wear when the seasons are changing!

I’m kind of obsessed with these simple shift dresses that I’ve been spotting everywhere lately. There is no fuss to them, and the only detail on this dress is the polo neck. These dresses can be dresses up or down, as I showed with a similar black dress over here. I love the idea of wearing this dress with sneakers again, and I even got a similar version of it in grey too. I can picture it with some tights and my new thigh-high boots for winter as well!

I’ve showcased this jacket a couple of times on the blog already and it is probably the best buy that I made last year (besides the Louboutins of course ;)). I wear it to work all the time over dresses and pants, and in winter it will look lovely over a long sleeved top. I’ve seen a very similar version of this dress at River Island and if you make a one buy once pay day is around again (seriously when is that bugger coming) then make it a gorgeous sleeveless jacket.

I finished off the outfit with a touch of black- my shoes and the handbag. I just love this outfit and have already worn it to work and to an event! What do you think?
