Lookbook- Country Club Shenanigans

Happy Monday guys! We are starting to get close to the end of the year, as October is pretty much done, and the next time you will blink it will be December! I am LOVING the warm weather in Johannesburg and I pretty much spend my whole weekend tanning, swimming and shopping! However I am trying to enjoy my “free” time as much as I can, because I am finally putting on my big girl panties next month and joining the working world. I am scared, but I am also super excited!

I have always loved watching American movies and TV series, and seeing how all the ladies always go to the Country Club to lunch, and the men go there to play golf. Country Clubs always sounded to me like very exclusive things, and the one I especially remember very well is the one from Desperate Housewives. Bree would always go there all dressed up to have lunch with her friends and (many) husbands and I always wondered if Johannesburg had such a thing as a Country Club. Well it does! The Johannesburg Country Club is located in Auckland Park and it is a rather exclusive place. Keagan had to pull some strings to let us shoot there, and I fully got into the vibe of the “Country Club Gal”.

I know I feature a lot of Ted Baker, but that is because he is the other man(the first being Steve) in my life. I recently went and got some more Ted Baker stuff for work, and Ted Baker is known for his signature floral prints such as this one. The dress fit me perfectly which I loved and I think it will look lovely everywhere, from the boardroom to the wedding room. I am mentioning a lot of wedding outfit suggestions lately, but that is because I am attending 4 weddings next year and thinking about all my outfits already!

I added a little pop of color with my pink shoes, and I decided to keep the bag matchy-matchy with the dress. I felt like I fitted into the Country Club perfectly in this beautiful dress, shoes and my Bvlgari sunglasses, sitting pretty on the loungers watching the pool boy 😉
