Beauty Review - Gosh Boombastic XXL Volume Mascara

As I have mentioned before, I am always on the search for the perfect mascara. It is something I wear almost every single day, and quite frankly, I feel a little bit naked if I don’t have mascara on. I was gifted this Gosh Boombastic XXL Volume Mascara from Zaakira, and I have been testing it out for a month now, so I am finally ready to give it a verdict.

What they say:

“This mascara is for the one who really want to build up extreme volume and length at the same time.

The huge brush with its three giant reservoirs will store plenty of mascara and add the most precise accent on the lashes when applied. It will also separate the lashes without clumping the lashes together.

More than ever you can build up massive volume and in the same time the lashes will appear perfectly separated and long.”

What I think:

The Positives:

1. The Brush – It is a plastic brush with small bristles on it.It is a lot better than other plastic brushes I tried out, and it is very easy to use and the mascara applies on evenly and smoothly.

2. The Coverage – I find that one coat is enough. One coat gives it the perfect “almost no makeup look” which I wear during the day. For the evening I apply another 2 coats and that gives my lashes a really huge boost, and makes them long and voluminous.

3. The Longevity – One thing I am extremely happy with – the mascara doesn’t flake onto my face as the day goes by. It stays right where it is supposed to be- on my eyelashes. It is not waterproof, and it is very easy to take off with some water or eye-make-up remover.

The Sensitivity- I couldn’t find on the internet any information on whether this mascara is applicable for contact-lens wearers, so I went ahead and pulled an experiment on myself. I’m happy to report that the mascara is compatible with contact-lens wearers and did not affect or irritate my eyes at all.

The Negatives:

So far none. It does not clump my eyelashes together, and gives me length and volume- a huge yay from me!

The Bottom Line:

Is this a miracle mascara? No. Is it pretty dam close to it? Yes. I would definitely buy it again, and so far it is number 2 of my list of favourite mascaras. Nice one, Gosh!
