Spring has finally hit Joburg (although we did have a slight hiccup with that weather couple of weeks ago), and I can say without a doubt that this is my favorite time of the year. The flowers are starting to blossom, the pool temperature is warming up and it is the perfect weather for pretty dresses! This month in Hello Joburg! magazine, I did a little feature on spring dressing and my ideal outfit for spring- and here it is!

Fun fact- we actually took these photos in the middle of June while it was freezing cold. Pretending like I am loving it was hard in these pics 😉

I love, love, love this dress from Country Road, but my friends (and moms) opinion on it has been a bit divided. This dress has no hanger appeal at all- when I was first spotted it I thought the cut of it was weird, and the the pattern was a bit old-fashioned. However for some reason I still tried it on, and I really liked how the dress fit me! The asymmetrical cut that’s short at the front and long at the back, makes it work-appropriate, and the fun pattern is great for a night out or the office, don’t you think?

You are probably tired of seeing this jacket on the blog, but this was my favorite item this past winter, and yes its going to be a favorite for spring too! It is so soft, and its pink hue is to die for! I paired the dress and the jacket with my favorite shoes-and-bag combo- my Isabella and Breanna. Isabella of course being the Bvlgari Isabella Rossellini handbag, and Breanna being the Dune London Breanna heels!
