I’m not normally one for a dark look, as I like keeping things quite bright and happy, but this outfit perfectly describes my mood for the past few weeks. Ever since getting back from Europe I have been trying to adjust back to normal life, but it seems nothing is going my way. We are undergoing house renovations, which is a huge stress, things at varsity have been a little rough to say the least, I have had the flu twice in the past 3 weeks and my cat keeps getting into catfights and making herself sick. Add on top of that the horror of a day that I had yesterday and you get this- a rather dark, Morticia Adams inspired look.
Join me in my little dark side look wont you? I am all kinds of obsessed with this sport-luxe inspired skirt from Witchery. It’s made from neoprene material (which would normally be associated with basketball or any other kind of sport), but in a feminine silhouette like this pencil skirt, such a masculine material is made to seem feminine. I paired it with a grey t-shirt (an absolute must in any closet) and more dark details, including the lippie. Diva by MAC is one of my all time favorite colors, and while I find it way too dark for summer, it is my go-to shade for winter.
I hope that things start looking up for me in the next few weeks, and when I am ready I will share my personal story with you. For now, I am just going to try and keep my head (and hat) held high and battle though whatever life throws at me next. If you are also going through some tough times, remember you are not alone! I am always an email, a comment or a message away.
