One of the first things that we did while in Dubai is visit the amazing Burj Al Arab. The building is synonymous with modern Dubai with its sail of a ship-shape, and is considered to be one of the only 7 star hotels in the world. 7 stars, can you believe it? The hotel opened in 1999 and took 5 years to build, it is also the 3rd tallest building in the world! What makes it 7 stars you may ask? Well just take a look at these pictures and you will understand!
We got a tour of the hotel and its suites, which are so impressive! The smallest suite available is 169 square meters, and even that is a double story suite with an office and a gold coffee machine.
The cherry of the Burj Al Arab is its royal suite which has seen a number of Hollywood celebrities in it.
The suite contains a Kings and a Queens quarters, and the Queens quarters are any girls dream!
Think leopard print couches, lots of pink pillows and a bathroom complete with gold touches!
They also use Hermes as the beauty treats in the suites(which we got as gifts!) so its luxury all the way.
The Kings bed rotates around and the Queens room is perfect for hosting baby showers and bachelorette parties. How much does this room cost for a night? A cool 20000$. Anyone up for it?;)
After the hotel visit we were treated to the ultimate High Tea Experience downstairs. Now I love my High Teas, and I have been to my fair share. This was something out of a fairytale, with a 7-course menu and endless supply of tea and champers.
The course ranges from small petit fours to beef carvings to sorbet- I felt like I rolled out of that hotel! Everything was delicious and decadent.
The architecture and the design of the Burj Al Arab is really something worth praising. From the moment you walk into it, you feel like you are in the cast of an Arabian Fairytale.
Its pure luxury, and I recommend that if you plan on going or stopping in Dubai, make the Burj Al Arab one of your must-see sights! Crazily enough, 39% of the building is uninhabitable, but the architecture of the building makes up for it.
My Outfit
I thought long and hard about what to wear to one of the worlds only 7 star hotels. I wanted the outfit to be feminine and soft, but with a touch of colour and class. After much deliberation I decided to go with a pink lace number from Forever New with my Louboutins and a baby pink Anni King clutch. I actually wanted to wear my hair down, but the humidity in Dubai was like nope, not happening, so I ended up putting it up. But once I saw how it looked with my new Chanel sunnies from Sunglass Hut, I loved it!
What do you think of this amazing hotel?
