marc jacobs daisy dream

I am so obsessed with Marc Jacobs’ fragrances. Okay I’ll admit at first it was just the bottles that drew me in- I got Lola back in 2011 because the beautiful bottle with a huge plastic rose on the bottle cap attracted me but it’s impossible to not fall in love with Marc Jacobs fragrances. His scents are always delicious and the latest addition to his perfumes, Daisy Dream, is no exception.

Daisy Dream is a variation of the original Daisy scent from 2007. Daisy Dream is said to be a more sophisticated and “ethereal version” of the original perfume. Personally I loved the original Daisy, and I love this one just as much. It is incredibly light, care-free and fun. Inspired by daises and the blue-skies, the scent and the bottle reflect that idea.

The fragrance has yummy fruity top notes of pear, blackcurrent and grapefruit. When it opens up a bit you can smell the floral middle of wisteria and jasmine and the base notes are white wood and coconut water. With such playful base notes, you can imagine how light and fresh this fragrance is. It really is my top choice for a summer fragrances because it’s easy and delicious.

The bottle is of course the piece de reissuance in this whole fragrance. It has to be one of the prettiest bottles I’ve ever seen, and boy does it light up my perfume stand! When Marc created the perfume he also had an idea of the woman that would be using it, and he describes a typical “Daisy” girl as vulnerable and strong at the same time, just like the flower itself. Daisy Dream retails from R765-R1395 and is available at all participating stores.

Well I am not going to gush about this beauty here and not let you have a chance of winning it, am I? I wouldn’t be so cruel! I am so excited to giveaway one 50ml bottle of this gorgeous fragrance to one of my readers! AND… there is no need to be sad if you don’t win it because I have two more prizes to giveaway as well! The lovely girls at ASCO really want to spoil my readers rotten, so I am also giving away 2 bottles of the new “Rock” perfumes by Shakira! It’s brand new to the market and is a citrus sensation! The bottle is also shaped like a guitar so you can pretend that you are jamming with it when you home alone(or is it just me?).
Let me cut to the chase: you can enter by commenting below and telling me what your dream for 2015 is. It can be anything and everything- maybe you want to lose weight, get a new job or get married. Or maybe you just want to stay as happy as you are now, it’s your dream and I want to hear it!:)
The competition will run from today until the 25th of November. I’ll get some help choosing the best answer, and that will be the answer that wins the Daisy Dream. The runner up and the third place winner will each score themselves a bottle of Rock by Shakira!
Sounds dreamy doesn’t it?
Good luck!

  5. My dream is to finish my first Ironman 70.3! A 1.9km swim, 90km cycle and 21km run all done within 8 and a half hours! I have been dreaming about this for so long, and busting my butt day in and day out for the last 6 months to ensure I make my dream come true. I have 67 days to go until my dream finally comes to fruition!

  6. My dream for 2015 is to embrace all opportunities that come my way , to be open to change , to live life to the fullest and to hopefully have the man of my dreams (still to appear) by my side. A little more travel wouldn’t hurt either.

  7. My dream for 2015 is to lose the rest of my baby weight and document it. Help other new mothers/fathers, grandmothers/grandfathers, teens, etc reach their weight loss goal in a healthy way. No starvation diets. No cheats. No quick fixes. Everything done in a way that EVERYONE can do it and I’ll be here, helping you along online with my progress and admitting to cheats (hopefully none but to err is human).

Also, my dream of becoming a senior in my field of work is a dream, one I AM going to achieve no matter what and what better time to get it done than 2015.

So with these two major developments in my upcoming life, I need to smell great. I mean, who wants to take advice from a Smelly Melly (obsessed with Scandal so excuse the reference). Winning the Daisy Dream by Marc Jacobs would end my year off on a delicious note and start off 2015 in the best smelling way possible!

*With Marc Jacobs on her skin, every woman can accomplish anything!

  8. My dream is to become a fitter, healthier, trendy more fashion forward version of myself! Looking so forward to 2015 and all it has to offer

  9. I have a couple of dreams or new year’s resolutions for the coming year. 2015 will hopefully be the year I reach my goal weight (a long journey which has had its ups and downs) and start taking extra care of my body and soul. I hope to finally take up a hobby I am passionate about and make time for my dear ones.

  10. My Dream for 2015 is to finally get my Nutrition Degree. Its been a long hard 4 years and Im so excited to experience life beyond university. I hope to learn more about myself, my abilities and love myself more than ever.

  11. MY DREAM FOR 2015: I really dream of moving back to Johannesburg and finding the perfect-fit career for me! I am already making my way there…applying for the right job and not just a job! Lets hope for the best, because when I get a job there for me, I can move! Fingers crossed that I kick off 2015 in Johannesburg with a new career and a spritz of Daisy Dream by marc Jacobs.

  12. WOW so many dreams for 2015….. I would have to say my dream for 2015 would be that I would stop to smell the roses more, in other words, I wouldn’t get caught up in the minor irritations of life and let them ruin more than a second of my day. I want to roll on the grass more with my children and not worry about the pile of dishes in the sink. I want to have the energy to say “yes” more and “no” less to requests for my time or participation in things. Most of all, for this coming year I want to walk in the fullness of life that God has gone ahead and prepared for me for 2015 and every year. I want to really get into His Word and let it wash over me and free me from the fetters of this world and be a huge blessing and inspiration to my loved ones and in fact anybody who crosses my path!! WOW that’s a lot but……. Jesus said to him, “‘If you can’! All things are possible for one who believes.” Mark 9:23. X

  14. Hey dear,
that is so sweet of you to be giving away such a lovely perfume bottle. I’ve been hearing great things about this edition by Marc Jacobs, so i knew i had to enter.
My goals and dreams for 2015 are not to lose weight (totally lying there), get a new job (would be great, but i’d also be ok with the old one) or get married (no thanks, totally the truth) – actually to get my masters degree, travel to Canada, as i’ve been wanting it for years, and get involved with some local indie brands, since i always find it inspiring what people can create just from a good idea (and of course blog growing is also part of the bigger plan).

Thanks again for the opportunity. xo

From a little needlework, to crocheting and Knitting to scrapbooking and everything in between 🙂 Health for my little girl is also top of the list because there is just nothing worse in life then a child that is sick! Oh and sell our house, our street has suddenly erupted in a street full of prostitutes, not a good environment to raise my little one in.

  16. Lovely giveaway hun. I’ve been lusting over this perfume since it came out!

Since I recently moved to Barcelona, my dream for 2015 is to find a new job which I enjoy, rent a new empty apartment for which I can be the interior designer, and make my jewellery brand Vanilla Shimmer a success.

  21. To stop existing and start living life to the full. I want to wake up and be happy with my decisions and not just roll with the punches. I want to look in the mirror and be happy with what I see. I want to step out of my comfort zone. I want to dream big things and think big things.

  22. My dream for 2015 is my child starts talking properly in 2 languages, my hubby and me get more opportunities to start our own business, and finally, to be able to see our parents more often and take care of them when they need it. Stay healthy young and full of energy for new good adventures and travels!

  23. My dream for 2015 is to go on a road trip touring the Cape with my beautiful daughter – never been out of my hometown province and I really want to sahre my first time experiences with her

  24. My dream for 2015 is to move out. To stand on my own two feet. Be free and responsible at the same time. even if it’s only by December 2015 as long as it happens within the year

  25. Hmmm this competition sure makes you reflect on 2014. My dream is go travel to South America, learn a new language on the way, meet wonderful people and a new bottle of perfume would make that adventure even better 🙂

  26. What is your dream? Will you achieve your dream in your lifetime? I’m certain that you desire to. I’m sure you hope you will.
But will you actually do it? What odds would you give yourself? One in five? One in a hundred? One in a million? How can you
tell whether your chances are good or whether your dream will always remain exactly that—a dream? And are you willing
to put it to the test?
Most people I know have a dream. In fact,
I’ve asked hundreds, if not thousands, of
people about their dream. Some willingly
describe it with great detail and enthusiasm.
Others are reluctant to talk about it. They
seem embarrassed to say it out loud. These
people have never tested their dream. They
don’t know if others will laugh at them.
They’re not sure if they’re aiming too high
or too low. They don’t know if their dream
is something they can really achieve or if
    they’re destined to fail.
Most people have no idea how to achieve
their dreams. What they possess is a vague
notion that there is something they would
like to do someday or someone they would
like to become. But they don’t know how to
get from here to there. If that describes you,
then you’ll be glad to know that there really
is hope. My dream to raise new money for my family while doing what i love and obviously a huge shopping spree

  27. First of all, what an amazing prize! I love the original Daisy scent and was destroyed when I broke the bottle…
My biggest dream for 2015 is spending more time with my family. Hubby and I are moving to Cape Town in a months time. All of our family live there. Been living away from family for 3 years now and have missed out on so much of my nieces growing stages. Let the fun begin!

    Please pick me! 😉
    Xx

  28. To be content and at peace emotionally after a very tough 2014, a year that has been draining on all levels and given me too many grey hairs!

  29. Sitting here thinking about my hopes and dreams for 2015 in November 2015. I love this competition, giving me a head start on reaching my goals and setting them. My dream for next year is to feel 100 percent content with myself. To feel beautiful due to success in relationships, success in my career and success in bettering the life of at least 1 person less fortunate than me. This would obviously all be a more delightful year of I smelt incredible with some Marc Jacobs in my life but either way I’m happy I sat wondering about my 2015 wants and dreams so thank you x

  30. My dream for 2015 is pretty simple but complex. I would like to continue on journeys I started this year, like running my first half marathon and formalising my business. I want to do the one thing I have always wanted to next year which is to give back. I always imagined myself as the type of person who would do more for other people and next year that is what I want to focus on. Oh…I would really like to go back to New York next year… In fall this time 😉

  31. My dream for 2015; To be a help my son with has learning issues become a stronger and more confident student by helping him learn at his pace and bring his confidence up through support not negativity. Continue to mentor and coach him for the wonderful boy that he is and not focus on his diagnoses but on the great things that make him special.

  32. I’m so looking forward to 2015 – the year where I’ll meet my first born. And it’s a little girl!

My dream is to be the best mom I can be for that little one, but also not forget to have some fun!

After reading your review, I think I might just hide a bottle of MJ’s Daisy Dream in my cupboard, and every now and then, go into my room, close the door and spray a few spritzers – reminding me to be light, care-free and fun!

  33. My dream for 2015 is to lose weight so I can finally feel sexy and confident and to save enough money to take my dad and sister to America, something my mum couldn’t do (passed away) and is a place she really wanted to go to. That is my 2015 dream x

  34. Today is the first day of my new life.

    I’ve started a new job.
Being 25 and not knowing what you’re doing with your life is one of the most stressful things to go through. Especially when looking at people that went to school with you and being jealous of their happiness. So I gave up from trying to keep up with everyone and started a new path. I resigned from my super corporate job to follow my recently discovered dream… Social Media Strategy. I don’t want to win awards, I don’t want to be famous… I just want to do work that excites me so much that I’m up until 2am working on it. I feel this heat of passion within my bones and I am so excited for this new adventure!

    So… HEY 2015.
Let’s work on some cool projects. Let’s make magic, doll :*

  35. My dream for 2015 is to start living each day as though it were my last. I want to make the best out of everyday with my family. I have let people take advantage of me & 2015 is going to be different. I am taking control of my life and not letting others control my life. All negative people will be cut loose.

  36. My Dream for 2015 is to be the most positive I can be in all areas of my life. I think the way to start is with instilling a culture of gratitude in my life. Being thankful for what I have is going to be the springboard to greatness for me.

  37. My dream in 2015 is to blossom and shine career wise and she’d of all the bills hecticness I have at the moment.

And spread my creative seeds in fertile places that will assist in a bloomy 2015 … #FocusOnGrowth

  38. I have tried a sample of the Daisy fragrance and I remember it smelling so fresh and lovely! Would love to try this one too 🙂

My dream for 2015 is to become fit, flexible, and healthy. Just because I am skinny doesn’t automatically mean I am in good health so I want to pay more attention to myself and my well being. And I have already started since there is no time like the present to change your life 😀

    Lindsey | Ping and Ting

  39. My dream for 2015 would be to to further my studies and pursue new employment. Need a fresh look on my career 🙂

  40. During 2015 I really want to grow my blog. I’ve only started it about 2 months ago and I enjoy working on it so much! I have set a few goals for myself and I want to reach them ASAP! Other than that, as much as this sounds cliche, I want to stay happy – it’s hard when you have depression. I also hope my grades will go up, as I have not started this year too well, especially not in math and Arabic! And lastly, I want to learn to deal with pressure better.

Wow, this made me think a little, thanks for the amazing giveaway! Fingers crossed!

    Zoe xx

  41. I have a few dreams that I would like to see come true in 2015,one of them is to start my career path as I recently graduated . I would also like to see myself dating again ,after the numerous disastrous relationships in 2014 . I was about to give up hope of me having a love life again.
Maybe after the dream of finding love ,I may develop the need to become a mother for the first time .

  42. My dream for 2015? Nothing too fancy, just continued health, wellness, love and success for my family and to continue always helping others when we can. It has been a tough but rewarding year for us and my dream is simply to always be blessed and never to take the little things for granted.. A roof over our heads, clean running water and electricity, home cooked meals every day made with heavenly love..

    xoxo

  43. I have a lot of dreams which probably won’t come true, but next year I am dreaming of going on holiday (I haven’t been in five years!). I hope my blog will start to grow, I get to try new things, and I’m happy. Oh, and world peace would be lovely… But since I can’t change the world I can at least dream of being less stressed and happier with my place in the world next year. This year has been a tough one.

  44. My dream for 2015 is to never stop dreaming and achieving the goals I set… to be happy and see those I love achieve their dreams too. ( oh and to complete my Marc Jacobs perfume collection ;))

  45. Никак и ни на что не претендую (конфликт интересов, да?) все же скажу, что мечта на 2015 год – чтобы ты сдала свой первый экзамен куда ты там собираешься? В магистратуру? :))))

  46. My dream for 2015 – To live – to smell the daisies :-),to visit the beach and walk the mountains and to listen to the birds, not to take anything for granted and start my gratitude journal.

  47. My dream for 2015 is to Cumlaude my Bcomm IS degree I just complete (fingers crossed) , to do my honours in IS and to finally pursue one of my dreams which is to start my own business. 2015 will not be easy , but smelling amazing will make it a bit more tolerable, I mean who doesn’t love designer smelling sweat. I’m as Marc Jacobs obsessed as they come!

  48. My Dream for 2015 is to let go of all the negatives and concentrate on the positives in my life no matter what life throws at me, and not to sweat the small stuff. I want to get fitter by walking more (no more short trips to the shop instead I will put on my takkies and take the walk), eat more healthier organic foods and follow a healthier eating plan, spend more time outdoors in the garden and at the beach, spend more quality time with family & friends enjoying time together over a home cooked meal or braai, volunteer more time in my community, smile and laugh more, try to save more money and cut back on unnecessary spending, be more eco-conscious, be kinder to others and to myself 🙂

  49. my Dream for 2015 is to live a healthier and fitter lifestyle, cultivate a positive outlook in life for myself and others, excel in my Varsity studies so that I can reach my dream of contributing to a better life and future for the disadvantaged communities in Africa, to always show gratitude for all of life’s little blessing, spend more time with family and friends. To live, love, laugh and dream 🙂

  50. My dream for 2015 is that God will watch over my family and I during the year and keep us safe wherever we go. My daughter is also getting married next year, it would be a dream to give her unending happiness and joy 🙂

  51. My dream is a pretty simple… to appreciate and enjoy the little things. Might sound cliché but we always focus on the half empty when there’s so much to live, laugh and love about. We get caught up in all the craziness and forget to look around at the beautiful people and experiences. Rather than focusing on weight, excercise and extrinsic things I want to focus on enjoying the little things that make my heart happy. Ps.. im a massive mark Jacobs fan. I wait for a perfume each Christmas and it hasn’t been under the tree in a while. Xx

  52. My dream is to see my daughter happy with her baby in her arms. She has been longing for this moment for 6,5years after her kids was tradgically lost

  53. My dream for 2015 is for me and hubby to find good jobs in Cape Town and then finally start with a family. We met online, he is Dutch born and raised and I’m South African, he moved to SA for me and we’ve had a lot of obstacles to overcome with moving and foreign affairs (the list goes on and on) so if everything can work out in the new year I will be on cloud 9!
