I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait for the Easter holidays! I personally love this time of the year- I associate it with hot cross buns, oranges, a bit of chill in the air and a little bit of time off! I’ve been very fortunate that for the last 6 years or so, I’ve managed to get away during every Easter season. With leave days at work, it’s one of the few times I can go away and make the most of it, given all of the public holidays in between! Last year I was lucky enough to go to Mauritius during this time, and while this Easter I will be in Prague, I thought I would share this beach outfit from Zanzibar, to inspire any of you heading out to the beach in a couple of weeks!
It seems like our trip to Zanzibar was such a long time ago, but actually it was only 2 months back! Ah I already miss this gorgeous tan that I had (I only tan with SPF of course) and so wish I could go back. As I mentioned in the post here, the most amazing thing about Zanzibar was its beaches- so blue, with white soft sand that felt like a soft fluffy carpet. The tide would come in the afternoon, and we would spend our whole day lying around on the beach and swimming around. I highly recommend Zanzibar for anyone looking for an affordable getaway, and it’s the perfect place for honeymooners!
And can we just have a moment for this hat! I have been lusting after an Elizabeth Summer hat for months, and was so lucky to get this one for the trip! You can get them in a few different colours (the white is also gorgeous) and sizes, and what I love the most is that you can get any phrase that you want embroidered to the back of the hat! Mine says “Wanderlust”, which I adore, because that is 100% me! But I’ve seen some awesome hats with different saying, and my favourite are the ones that the brides get made, with their new surnames at the back! The prices range from R600-R850 and you can check them out on Instagram. Seriously, this hat is such good quality, that it’s worth every penny.
When I was shopping around for Zanzibar, I spotted this dress at Forever New and loved the look of it. Even though I could pretty much only wear it to the beach (it’s a little short for day wear), I knew that it still wouldn’t go to waste and I would wear it on every beach holiday. I love having something for a beach dinner or for a day of exploring the islands, so when I head off to Portugal in August I will most definitely be bringing this dress with!
Are you heading out to anywhere this upcoming Easter?
