Happy Monday lovelies! We are finally in August which means there is only 1 more month left of winter (yay!). Winter has been super hard on my skin so that’s why I decided to take part in the Kiehl’s Change Your Skin Challenge again(you can read my first post about what it’s all about over here). It’s been just over 2 weeks now that I have been using the products and I am back today with a little skin update as well as to tell you about a cult favourite Kiehl’s product- Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment!
How is my skin feeling after 2 weeks of using the 5 products? Well the thing that often happens when you start using new products on your skin is that you might break out a little. But don’t freak out, because it’s totally normal! After the first week I noticed a little bit of breakout around my cheeks, and I consulted the Kiehl’s team (you can pop into any of the Kiehl’s stores for a free consultation anytime). I was advised that it could be due to the fact that I am using new products that my skin wasn’t used to, and I should give it a few more days. If the breakout persists over more than a week, then it could be something in the product that’s causing a reaction and you should double check with you dermatologist. However after a couple of days, all of the ugly little zits disappeared on their own, so it’s often very normal to break out from new skincare- don’t be scared!
Yesterday my friend comment that my skin is looking really great, and I was so happy to hear that! I have been actively using all 5 of the products, and I can’t wait to see the final result in 3 more weeks. A product that works almost immediately though, is the Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment. I am usually not a huge fan of eye creams, but this little guy had built itself up to so much hype that I couldn’t wait to start using it. Essentially it’s an eye moisturizer that is packed with natural ingredients to provide hydration around the eye area. Its texture lives up to its name- it is super creamy and almost looks good enough to eat (don’t do it, no matter how much you might be craving some guac ;))!
You only need a little bit of its creamy formula to cover your whole eye, so don’t be put off by the jars small size- a little bit goes a looong way with this eye cream. My eye area is one of my most concerning ones, as I can start to see the first signs of aging there. However Creamy Avo is not an anti-aging solution (try Super Multi Corrective Eye Cream for that), but more of a solution for when your eye area lacks hydration and needs moisturizing. After applying this eye cream, my eyes look instantly fresher and the area feels a lot smoother. A little tip though– let the eye cream settle in for about 10 minutes before applying concealer, as the concealer might “fall” into the eye cream otherwise. Overall it’s a really lovely product that I would recommend to anyone looking for a moisturizing eye cream.
