With summer days long behind us(sob, sob) my tan is fading faster than chocolate dissapears out of my house(that’s very quick FYI).I love having that healthy glow that a little bit of a tan gives me, so in winter I am always in search of something that will bring that glow back into my pale(fine lets call it porcelain) complexion. Lately I have been loving the new Lancome Belle De Teint- a first healthy glow powder that recreates the glow of healthy and fresh-looking skin while also offering a radiance boosting effect for a tanned and matte makeup result.
It comes in 8 different shades, out of which I have number 4 here- the sort of “happy medium”.I found the colour to be too light in my tanned days, as it almost blended in with my skin, but now that I am back to my normal tan-free complexion, this shade is perfect. What it does essentially is that it gives you a natural glow, all while mattifying and flushing the skin with light colour. Sounds magical right? It even contains rose petal powder which makes the product smell absolutely divine, and hints of caffeine to energize and boost the skin. Now this sounds good enough to eat!
It’s rather simple to use it, and it even comes with a little brush to help you out(I however always prefer using my big blush brushes for application). I add it to all of the spots where the sun would naturally hit and create a tanned and glowing effect- down the side of my cheeks, and little bit on the forehead. Sometimes I use it just as a blush to lift and illuminate my cheekbones, and lately I have been using it all over- this product is a real multi-tasker of note! You can use it however you want to, even to contour and define parts of your face. I hated ruining the beautiful Lancome writing when I first started using it, but now since I can’t get enough of this, I am using it all the time!
The Belle De Teint goes for R599 and get this if you are looking to get a healthy, glowing complexion that’s matte and still radiant.
