Lookbook- Autumn Things

It seems like I blinked, and autumn settled in. I woke up one morning and found myself having to search for boots and a jacket in my winter cupboard, and then I finally realized that it’s time to pack away my summer dresses and sandals(although I am in Greece next week, so they will get one last voyage before they get packed away until September). I normally hate the colder time of the year, but I’ve made a promise to myself that I will try to enjoy it more this year (after all, we can’t spend our entire lives waiting for summer, we must embrace all seasons). With this look, I have complied some of my favourite things about autumn dressing and the items that I will be reaching for this April!

Firstly, I am obsessed with duster coats! They’re so easy to throw over any outfit, and now that it’s not so hot anymore, I just keep a duster coat in my car for anytime that it gets a little bit chiller. I got this one a couple of years ago from River Island, but Cotton On and Woolworths have similar looking styles. You can literally wear these over anything; they are so handy and can look so stylish!

Secondly, I am still not over the whole statement shirt trend! I love a good plain white T-shirt with some words on it, again, it is just so easy to wear! This shirt is from Zara, but if you’re looking for something similar then I suggest you check out T Shirts For Change! They have some awesome T-shirts with things like “Feminist”, “Rebel with a Cause” and “Fearless” written on them, and the best thing is that R100 from every purchase goes towards a charity. I have two of the tees, and love them so much, so this s a trend that I will definitely carry on wearing this autumn.

Lastly, I am feeling all things leather this season. This mini skirt has been getting many outings with me (I wore it in London as well), and it is a sexy addition to your outfit. Of course, you do not have to wear it just like this- it looks much more modest with stockings, but I wanted to have a little fun with this look here.

What are your favourite autumn trends?
