I’ve been dying to feature this sweatshirt-dress on the blog for a while, because I’ve had it for almost 2 months now and I think it is so cool! While I love my feminine dressing, this is the kind of stuff I would wear if I had to live in the city. Have you seen the amount of walking Europeans do? We in South Africa are very spoiled with cars and due to the small amount of public transport, are forced to drive ourselves around. I started driving when I was 19, and its a lot easier to spend all day in heels when you only wear it to an event and to hop in and out of the car. Imagine walking around town all day in heels? No thank you, that’s why Nike created such stylish shoes for us to walk round in!

The sweatshirt-dress(the swess?), is from Mangos AW15 collection and the minute I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I’m wearing it as a dress here, but it can also be worn as a top with some pants and heels and even just as a jersey. I love the pun of the “Overdress” because this is perfect to under-dress in. I only added a big bag to the look, and kept it jewelry and make-up free.I realized when looking at the photos that the bag looked rather full, and that’s because it always is with me! I am like the bag-lady who carries her life in her bag!

What do you think of this look? It’s a little bit different for me but I like it 🙂

  1. bag and cat ladies unite! I’m all about casual and comfort lately, been doing tons of walking, trying to run errands on foot as far as possible, I’m lucky that there are a lot of amenities near me

  2. I can’t believe I’m saying this. I want that dress (I’d probably wear it with leggings or jeans though). Irina help the fashion – less. Does Mango have an online store I can buy it off? I don’t do shopping centres.

  3. Hahaha I am proud of you! Sadly Mango does not sell online 🙁 But they dress was in each of their stores, even the smaller ones! Eastgate is not so bad?
