Hello guys! Aren’t you all happy that it is FINALLY Friday?
Last night le bf and I attended the launch of the Bellfield brand in Stuttafords followed by a “date night” dinner. We try to go someplace new and nice every couple of weeks and last night I insisted on Papas which is a Mediterranean restaurant because I am Orthodox which means I started fasting this week (no meat or dairy for 40 days!). Papas offer a variety of yummy vegetarian dishes and if you have given up meat for lent this year definitely check it out at Nelson Mandela Square!
I never miss an opportunity to dress up, and date night is no different. In fact, I think there is something special to still dressing up for your boyfriend/spouse even if you have been together for a while. I even always get ready in a different room (now I have a separate room for my clothes and shoes-post to come soon). I picked up this lace River Island dress while overseas in December and I love the turtleneck and the sheer details on it. River Island has always been one of my favourite brands, and I am so excited that Edgars is bringing them into South Africa this July! Eeeep! The combination of black and gold has always been one of my favourites and this Topshop necklace and glasses are so chic! I took a page out of Anjas style book and used my spikey bracelet as a decoration for my bun. I normally always wear my hair down so it is nice to have a bit of a change. To complete the outfit I added my favourite gold accessories- bracelets, my dear Forever New clutch and Steve Madden Heels.
