Okay guys I have a confession- I am having a moment with pencil skirts. I don’t know if it’s because I am getting older(25 this year, eeeek) but I have swapped in my mini skirts for sleek pencil skirts. I love all kinds of pencil skirts- mesh, leather, printed, monochrome. I am just having an obsession with them, so don’t be alarmed to see like 5 of them pop up in outfits this month. Could it possible be that I am ready to hit the corporate world? Say it aint so!
This skirt was a great bargain buy at the Forever New factory store. I paid just over R300 for it, and the amount of wear I got out of it has been great. You can wear it to work,Friday night drinks or a Sunday lunch really. I suspect its going to make an appearance with some black tights some time this winter, and how bad ass would it look with a black leather jacket? Speaking of leather jacket, I have one here! But its in a more subtle, dusty pink shade. This jacket is really my love this season, I’m sure it will fly off the shelfs the second it hits stores!
I am also all about curls this month, because I love how my ombre looks with it. For so many years my parents have told me to embrace my curly hair but I’ve run away from it. Now its all I wear, which is quite a change from the dead-straight locks I was used to(it’s this old age I’m telling you). A high-waisted skirt looks great with a crop top like this lace one form Topshop. My trusty Nine West heels, mirror lens sunnies and black handbag finish off this look.
