One of the fun parts of the wedding planning process is definitely picking your registry. My love language is gift giving, so I always take special care when picking a wedding gift for someone, because it’s really how I express how much someone means to me. I shared in the post here that Steve and I chose Wrapistry as our registry of choice for many reasons like it having multiple brands, ability to gift cash as a gift, and the option to group gift (the best!). We picked a few awesome things for our registry, and today I thought that I would share some of my favorite picks from the Wrapistry website.
As I mentioned before, Wrapistry is set up in the way that you can even shop by category, starting from Build Your Bar and down to Upgrade Your Home. Because Steve and I have lived together before, we already had a lot of your basics such as glasses, cookware and a lot of the kitchen appliances. We picked things to really “upgrade” our house, and things that are really nice, that we maybe wouldn’t have spoiled our self’s with normally. These gorgeous items below are really my favorites to beautify your home even further, and I really want all of them as our wedding gifts (are you reading mom? ;))
For The Lounge
I am utterly obsessed with this serving bowl that I actually don’t even want to put anything in it! The black floral design is to-die-for, and this is one of my favorites on the whole website! You can use it to serve, but for me it’s a statement décor item to add to your lounge.
Are you as obsessed with pillows as I am? Then you probably have a ton of them overflowing all over your house. I have about 10 cushions just in the lounge (all in the same color scheme) and I often end up hiding them in the cupboards when people come over because I don’t have anywhere else to display it. This basket is perfect to store your throws and pillows in, don’t you think?
Eva Solo Hurricane Lamp Holder
My other house obsession is candles, and I have them all over the house (also, I am never not ready for load shedding ;)). One thing that I decided to invest in this year is a gorgeous candle holder, there is something about it that makes me feel really grown up, ha-ha 🙂 It’s the feeling of not having my candles all over the fireplace, but actually displayed beautifully in holders like these. This is not the exact one that is in the picture, but the Wrapistry website has a few really nice ones for you to choose from.
For The Kitchen
Now, this is really where we upgraded our home! Nothing makes you feel fancier than serving toast and tea out of a SMEG, right? Utterly obsessed with this black kettle and the white toaster, but it’s really hard to actually pick a color when choosing a SMEG appliance. We decided on neutral tones because we have recently moved, and when you are changing kitchens you actually want something that will work in any space. I am not lying when I say that the toast from the SMEG toaster is the most FANTASTIC piece of toast I’ve ever had- it has the perfect mix of toastiness and crunch 😉
Carrol Boyes Tea Set
I have always loved Carrol Boyes anything, so this tea pot was right up my alley. It fits really well with our black SMEG kettle too, and I hope that as time goes by we carry on upgrading our home with even more gorgeous pieces like these.
Delonghi Double Walled Cappuccino Glasses and Espresso Cups
I am a huge lover of mugs, but I do feel very sophisticated and “grown up” when I am having my tea out of a double walled glass and not out of my “Keep Calm And Kiss Me Quick” mug. It’s such a convenient addition to the kitchen, and before you wonder if your hands get burnt touching the glasses- not at all! These are really fab, and I plan on getting both the espresso cups and more of the double-walled glasses in the future.
Now these bowls I actually would like to use for serving and displaying fruit! This lemon print one was definitely my favorite from Mabibuch, but I also really enjoy the plain wooden ones. My whole kitchen style that I am trying to invest in is minimalist colours like beige and black, with a pop of print like the florals and the lemons.
Storage and Utensils
Lastly we added a few fun things that are also necessities like this cute Madame Grater from Pylones and some beautiful utensil storage things from Hand Crafted.
They are things that we needed but haven’t invested in yet, and that is what our registry was all about- upgrading our lounge and kitchen!
In other important things that we put on our registry is an air-fryer, some new bedding and pots and pans. Its things that we already have but are looking to replace if we get the chance. If you and your partner are moving in together for the first time, than I rather suggest investing in items from this list first, rather that my picks. However if you are looking for some gorgeous pieces to really add something extra to your home, then my items are the best picks! ;). Stay tuned to see what else we got from our registry soon! 🙂
