Hello beauties! I hope all of you had a stunning weekend! On Saturday I met up with my blogger friend, Dimi from Style Scoop for an event and a lunch. The event we went to, had no food(I know right), or well they didn’t accept credit card for the little food that there was available. You guys know how I feel about that and how important food is to me, so we went of for a lunch at one of my favorite places in Joburg- 44 Stanley.
44 Stanley is such a cozy little space, and I like to think of it as a small piece of Europe in the heart of Jozi. There are cafes, art, vintage and fashion shops all over, and I like that it is situated outside. You get to see lots of people just enjoying their day in the sun, and we did just that. After a delicious lunch and lots of cups of coffee, we went to look around. You can also buy fresh flowers right there, as you can see in my pics. As a fashion blogger, I am very used to posing for all of my outfit photos, but Dimi wanted to capture me being all natural. Of course you can’t stop a girl from posing, but I really love how these photos came out, especially where I am laughing and being myself.
About the outfit- on Thursday night I attended the last Skip Fashion Exchange for the year. I scored some awesome stuff at the exchange, including this gorgeous Lemon Sorbet coloured dress(hence the name!). I really love it, from the color to the fit- it is a little sexy because it hugs all of the curves, and I had to hide my little lunch tummy there! A girl that walked past us while we were taking photos commented that I look straight out of the 1950s, and I agree! This dress is very Mad Men- from the tight fit, to the length, to the style of it. I paired it with my nude strappy heels, and this gorgeous Aldo handbag- another find at the Skip Fashion Exchange! It looks like a diary, but its actually a clutch, and it even has a little chain inside it in case you want to wear it over-the-shoulder.
To finish the look of with some accessories , I added my trusty Dolce and Gabbana sunnies and some pretty bracelets from Zuri and Trinket Trove. As you know I love all things pastel, so the roses had to come in to the pictures to compliment everything. Thanks so much to Dimi for these pretty pics!
