Happy Monday beautiful people! I feel like I’ve been saying this a lot lately- but I’m back! The last 2 weeks were manic for me as I took a rather spontaneous trip to Budapest and Croatia over the long weekend, and as soon as I got back I was off to Cape Town for work. Its been very crazy but I’ve loved every moment! I have also learned my lesson now about being away for too long and not blogging so I have already scheduled 2 weeks worth of content over here. Having just visited summer again(while its freezing cold in South Africa), its left me feeling fresh and inspired. In Croatia we mainly went to the sea coast where the beautiful Adriatic Sea was a sight for sore eyes. With that in mind today I introduce to you, as well as giveaway, the delicious Acqua di Gioia fragrance . Its not new, as a matter of fact the fragrance was launched back in 2010, but its such a goodie that with summer in mind(and a bronzy tan on my skin) I wanted to tell you about it today, as well as give one bottle away!
The seductive sea aromas and summer holidays are what inspired Mr.Armani to create this fresh fragrance. The idea of escape into nature, a heavenly place where we can restore our energy and where we create a natural balance. With that in mind, Acqua di Gioia was born, an incredibly fresh and floral fragrance that will have you dreaming of summer days from the moment you catch a whiff of it!
Its top notes are mint and lemon– can you get any fresher than that? Its like a cool glass of Mojito on a lazy Saturday afternoon. The middle notes bring some depth into the perfume- pink pepper, jasmine and peony, how delicious! The fragrance is finished off with a sugar note and all together this is probably the loveliest scent that I would recommend for a summer vacation.
Even the shape of this bottle has meaning- its designed after water drops which are clear and airy. I quite like the fact that the flacon is see-through, and while it might not be the most exciting bottle design to grace my perfume stand, the juice in it makes up for it. If you are lucky enough to be taking a little travel break this winter, this is the fragrance for you!
