Friday, my second favourite F word! It’s also a long weekend for many (not for me sadly as I am saving my leave for Barcelona next month) as we are celebrating Women’s Day here in South Africa next week! I’ve been under the weather (again!) this week so sadly my wild Friday night will include a bed, a blanket and a cup of tea (on second note that actually sounds lovely). However 2 weeks ago I was out for a very special dinner and this is what my outfit was for the occasion. Its no secret that I love a good jumpsuit so when I saw this little black number at the Tally Weijl store, I had to make it mine!
A couple of weeks ago we had a special visitor over at the Urban Decay offices- the CEO of the brand! We have just opened the first Urban Decay standalone store on the African continent, which was a big enough a reason for the CEO as well as the International Business Development head to visit us all the way at the tip of Africa. We went for dinner with the team at the Four Seasons Hotel, and I was stuck with what to wear to such a dinner! Especially seeing as it’s the middle of winter, and whatever I chose to wear had to be worn under a coat. I thought that this black jumpsuit for suitable for the occasion especially with its lovely velvet detail on the top part.
I always like to pair a plain black outfit with something colourful. The occasion called for some fab footwear, and what’s more fabulous than Christian Louboutins? I only bring these babies out for a really special occasion, as they are one of the most precious items in my wardrobe. I added this colourful clutch to the mix, and some pretty gold rings. No outfit is complete without a red lip, and lately I am obsessed with this 714 shade from the Urban Decay VICE range. On the evening I wore it with my Ted Baker coat, and I think this jumpsuit will be making another appearance on the blog very soon when I travel to Barcelona! 🙂
Wishing you guys a lovely Friday and a restful weekend!
