There was no way I was going to a beautiful place like Mauritius and wasn’t going to take some outfit photos! The backdrop was already there so all I had to do was put on a pretty dress, which of course I did. Just before the wedding we had a little rehearsal dinner at a restaurant on the beach, and I packed this gorgeous Ted Baker baby just for the occasion.
After all it fitted in perfectly with flowers, white sandy beaches and palm trees!
As a side note, my hair was an absolute disaster to control while in Mauritius. I mean I know it’s a tropical island and all, but the humidity there was crazy! I could barely tame it down to make it look semi decent, and even then it would only last an hour or so. On the wedding day, I opted to have my hair in a plait for this exact reason, but hey embracing my curls for a little was fun.
The sunsets in Mauritius were absolutely breath-taking, and we made sure to watch them every single day. The sun went down quite quickly and early, at about 6 o’clock, and some of the nights the sky turned pink like candy floss. I loved every minute of our trip (except when I was sick on the catamaran), and I am so glad we managed to capture this beautiful dress and the sunset.
Of course heels on a beach are a huge faux paux, so I took them off and only put them back on while we were at the restaurant. What could be better than this gorgeous Mauritius sunset?
