Hello lovelies! I hope that everyone had a stunning weekend! Mine was rather busy to say the least- I got to attend Mercedes Benz Fashion Week! Needless to say it was tones of fun- seeing all of the beautiful shows and checking out the fashion is my idea of a good time. I was there for the whole three days which meant one thing to me – planning three different outfits! I loved all of them but this one has to be my favourite which is why I decided to share it.
I am a HUGE “Sex and The City” fan and watch the show over and over all the time. The opening credits where Sarah Jessica Parker (aka Carrie Bradshaw) walks on the streets of New York in her white tulle skirt is an iconic fashion moment for me. I have been searching for a tulle skirt for what seems like ages now, and was so happy to finally hunt one down at a store called “Vintage And The City”(they are based in Cape Town, but they do ship to Johannesburg). It just seems like such a Carrie Bradshaw skirt to me, and something I would want to have in my wardrobe as it is one of those statement pieces that live on for ages. To keep the Carrie Bradshaw vibe going I brought out my Christian Loboutins(my one and only beloved pair!) that was a gift from my parents for my birthday two years ago- I adore them, but the red sole does get worn out pretty quickly so I try to only wear them for that special occasion. They are called the “Ballota” and I think Carrie Bradshaw would approve!
I am also a huge fan of fashion statement tees- Celfie, Feline, or anything quirky. And this “Vague” top from Edgars is so cool I actually got it in two colours and styles! This is a crop top and I also have the longer version of it in black. The necklace used to be a part of another top but I pulled it out to add some glitz to the outfit. And my trusty Blackcherry handbag was the perfect accessory- it is big enough to fit my camera bag it, yet still look stylish!

This was my favourite photo of the weekend. That’s Trevor Stuurman taking a picture of me outside the Sandton Convention Centre!

Tomorrow I will also share my other 2 looks from the weekend as well as some backstage pics- the whole weekend was so much fun and thank you to A Fashion Friend for hooking me up!
