Outfit Of The Day – Fashion Playground

Hello beauties! Its Monday again and almost the end of September eeek! Only a few months left until Christmas and the New Year! It feels like summer is in full swing in South Africa but that doesn’t mean I’m packing away my hats! I have grown so attached to them that I am even finding a way to wear them in the summer. It is such a fun accessory that I have only recently learned how to wear and how to pair it with all different kinds of outfits.

One of the biggest trends for summer is the kimono. I got mine last year already but wasn’t sure how to wear it except over a dress or at the beach. So I decided to go for this boho-inspired look by pairing the kimono and the hat together, and wearing it with a simple graphic tee and denims. I have had these Steve Madden wedges for forever, and they have a crazy print but I love them! I wore this outfit to my recent shopping spree with Woolworths which I will be sharing on the blog soon! I got some stunning things and if you are still not sure what items you should invest in for this season, keep a look out for the post this week!

Also today I’m starting a little series on the blog with  Essie Nail Polish. I recently received the Essie Spring Colours collection, and I wanted to make it fun for you guys to see the colours. I have usually done a Mani-Monday post for these, but painting it just so plainly on my nails seems a bit boring, so I decided to show you how they look in real life! For this outfit I chose “Fashion Playground” (hence the name of the post) which is a gorgeous minty shade with pastel undertones. I thought it looked quite nice with the kimono and the watch, and now that you get to see the colours “in action” in real life, you can see how easily a manicure can become an accessory to an outfit! There are 3 more colours I will be sharing from the collection on the blog over the next few weeks, each paired with a different outfit. Doesn’t that sounds fun?
