Who is ready for a spoooooky Halloween with Zuri accessories? My blog transfer is taking a lot longer than I anticipated it to be (thanks Afrihost!) so as much as I would have liked to have this post up on the new blog, unfortunately it didn’t happen! So with the new blog, I have a new photographer who will from now on be taking most of my photos, starting with these ones. Just have a look at these pictures isn’t he amazing? I will do a formal introduction once the new blog is up, but judging by these photos, there will be a lot more awesome coming your way soon!:)
I have always enjoyed Halloween- pumpkins, candy and dressing up, whats not to love there? I especially love the dressing up part because I love planning everything from the hair and make-up down to the accessories. This year I wanted to go scary, although I do scary pretty much every year. The way I see it, is you have 364 days in the year to be glam and pretty, so why not get a little bit spooky for the one day? I’ve done a zombie ballerina, creepy spider and bloody vampire before, and this year I chose to do the scary rag-doll. The idea behind it is that I am dressed all cute- baby doll dress, knee socks and little bows but then I have this painted face and I am a teddy killer. The axes came in to the shoot spontaneously when my make-up artist Sam and Slade(my photographer) decided to bring them with, but in the end I loved the result!
Disclaimer- No teddies were hurt during this shoot.
The Zuri jewellery I chose matched the cute outfit- a statement pearl necklace, an arm full of pretty bracelets and I used 2 hair-bands as hair-ties. I also like the fact that when Halloween is over I can re-use all of this jewellery for my “normal” outfits! I have already planned something else with the necklace, and Blair Waldorf would definitely approve of those headbands. And of course the bracelts look stunning with any outfit! The good news for you is that I am giving away a set of this jewellery to you! The necklace and the headband are up for grabs, as well as 2 other goodies (that stack of bracelets was the last one left, but don’t worry I picked something even more awesome for you) as well as a set of 5 earrings! Lets party!
So what do you think? I was afraid this is going to be a bit of a Mean Girls situation like this,
but I love these pictures. Yes it’s not my typical, cute pics, but hey every now and again I like being versatile and changing things up around here 🙂Speaking of changing things up, let’s hope the new blog is ready soon!
