I recently visited my second home, aka Moscow and this time I caught some good weather (unlike when I visited in April when it was still pretty much winter). When Moscow is showing off, it shows off, and I was lucky to catch some of her beauty this time around. My parents live very close to the Red Square so my mom and I decided to book breakfast at a restaurant right across it, so we could enjoy the view and the delicious food! When packing for this visit I had a great outfit in mind and it just needed a great backdrop like this one!
I bought this skirt at Forever New right before I went to visit Cape Town in August, but I see that metallic midi skirts are all the rage this summer season! Woolworths has some beautiful ones in silver and gold, I spotted some colorful ones at H&M and Forever New still has stock of a copper version. I originally wore this skirt to our Cape Town opening, but I loved the way it looks blowing in the wind behind gorgeous Red Square.
I paired the skirt with one of my favorite body suits that I wear a little too often- it is just too comfortable! I added these nude heels to complete the look but of course there was no way I managed to walk in them on the cobblestone streets- we caught a taxi to the place! 😉
I also really loved the restaurant that we visited, called Doctor Zhivago. If you are visiting Moscow and are looking for great Russian cuisine, I highly recommend this place! It is decorated in the Soviet Era style and serves traditional Russian food. We visited for breakfast so I had my favorite rice porridge and cherry vareniki with sour cream (it is like boiled dumplings) with some tea. Simply delicious!
