My Favourite Spring Lip Shades+ Giveaway

Yay it’s Friday and I have a sneaky little surprise for you today! Since spring is in full bloom, and I just hit 3000 followers on Instagram (it might not be a lot for some people, but it is a milestone for me), so today I am sharing my favorite spring lip colors and giving them all away too! I am a huge lover of lipsticks (if you follow me on Snapchat you would have seen me try and organize my lipstick draw) so it was hard to just pick out 4 colors I like the best, but here they are! I picked a color for every occasion, be it a night out, an office or a spring picnic, so lets get started!

For Every Day Wear- Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Moisturising Matte Lipstick in “Nude”

I did a post on the Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Matte lippies over here, and this shade, called “Nude” has been a favorite since they launched. It is rather true to its name, and is the perfect, subtle, every-day color that you can wear to the office, or paired with a sexy smokey eye, for a night out. It does have a matte texture, so I had to scrub my lips before applying this, otherwise the color can flake. A color like this should be in your beauty arsenal, and on-hand all the time!

For A First Date- Maybelline ColorShow Lipstick in “Plum-Tastic”

First dates are always rather scary, and I still remember exactly what I wore on my first date with Steve 5 years ago. You don’t want your make-up to be too loud, but you want to have just enough on, so your new guy knows just how on-fleek your make-up is. I love this light purple shade, called Plum-Tastic from the new Maybelline ColorShow Range. The color pay-off is great, and the formula is very moisturizing and glides easily on, and the lasting power is great. So you will still have your lippie on even after that good night smooch 😉

For A Saturday Picnic- Revlon Ultra HD Color Lipstick  in “Peony”

I actually got this lipstick a while back, and have been waiting to feature it for ages! The Revlon Ultra HD Lipsticks and lip-glosses are really great, and I highly recommend checking them out. Many beauty bloggers consider the HD lip-glosses to be part of their “Holy Grail” make-up and it’s easy to see why. This gorgeous pink color, called “Peony” is so bright and beautiful! I think this is a great dupe for the famous MAC “Saint Germain” lippie, as it is a luminant pink with a very creamy texture.

For A Night Out- L’Oreal Infallible Mega Gloss in “Raspoutine-Me”

Another recent launch that I have been loving is the L’Oreal Infallible Mega Glosses. I use the word “Gloss” here very loosely, because they actually come in a variety of finishes such as Matte, Dazzle, Xtreme, Neon and Cream. Not all of them feel like a lip-gloss, I would say most of the ones that I have tried have been on the liquid lipstick side. The one I have here, “Raspoutine-Me” (I love the name, it’s in my Russian genes!) is a matte finish, and the pigment of this gloss is amazing. This is the color pay-off after just one swipe! The applicator is also very handy, as it bends to the shape of your lips and you can have the perfect application and precision with it. I am in love with the non-sticky formula and this bright color will make you the center of attention at any party you go to!
