Its Fragrance Friday so today I am here to share some scent-sational smells with you!:) I haven’t been as active on the blog as I would have liked to be, but that’s because I am trying to get ready to start my job next week and plan out all of my Christmas content for the month! It’s going to be a lot of fun with some party looks, make-up tricks and lots and lots of giveaways! For now lets talk about some delicious summer scents that I recommend using this hot summer season. From the office to the picnic to a night out, here are the latest scents you should have a look at!
PS You might notice that a lot of the perfumes have very flower-y notes, and that’s because that’s what I look for in a perfume for summer time!:)
For a Day At The Office- Dahlia Divin by Givenchy(R795 for 30ml)
I’ve mentioned this scent a couple of times on my social media before because I have really come to like it. It is very light and fresh, with notes of Jasmine and White Flower, and the scent is a little bit sweet but without being very overwhelming. I hate it when someone in class overkills themselves with perfume, because then they pretty much kill that scent for me! This will leave a lovely light trail of deliciousness behind you, and make everyone at the office wonder what scent you are wearing.
For A Saturday Picnic- Flowerbomb Extreme by Viktor&Rolf(R1545 for 50ml)
Imagine an explosion of flowers, and that is what you will get with this limited edition version of the famous Flowerbomb fragrance. This scent is not subtle at all, that’s why I wouldn’t recommend wearing it to the office, but rather to a Saturday picnic amongst all the flowers (you can blend in with them;)). It has notes of Orchid, Rose, Jasmine and Orange Blossom, and yes it smells like an extreme version of a flower bouquet. I love it, and if you are a fan of flowery fragrances, this should be your next purchase!
For A First Date- Revlon Pink Happiness First Love(R249 for 50ml)
Ah the joys of a first date and first love! A couple of months back Revlon send through a gorgeous “First Date” package along with this new fragrance, which included things like movie tickets, love notes and a Fro-Yo voucher. Ever since then, I think that this is the perfect fragrance for a first date, or any date that is! As far as I know this edition of Pink Happiness is only in South Africa and it is sweet fragrance with notes of Orange Blossom, Ylang-Ylang and Bergamot. Bonus- It is also budget friendly!
For A Night Out- Elizabeth Arden Always Red(R495 for 30ml)
Lets be honest, the original Elizabeth Arden “Red Door” fragrance is not for everyone. I find it rather heavy and well a bit “older” smelling. That’s why I was so pleasantly surprised to smell this new addition and completely love it at first sniff! It is bright, sparkly and very modern, exactly what you need on a Friday night out! It has all of my favorite fragrance notes such as Pink Freesia, Plum, Jasmine and Rose (the notes that are very similar to my favorite Si fragrance), and the scent is very sweet and inviting. It lasts the whole night, so grab a bottle of this on a Friday night and light up the town!
For Everyday- Repetto Eau De Parfum
This was a new discovery for me, as I have never tried a Repetto fragrance before, but if this is how nice Repetto fragrances smell, then sign me up! This fragrance has notes of Red Cherry and Plum (yum) and Jasmine and Orange Blossom, so it is a mix between a fruity and a floral scent. In summer you don’t want to be wearing something heavy and overpowering, and that’s why this Repetto fragrance has become my go-to fragrance lately- it is not heavy at all, but has a very distinct smell! Plus the bottle is totally girly and gorgeous!
