Hello lovelies, and if you are in South Africa, happy long weekend! We are celebrating Heritage Day tomorrow, which I think is a wonderful holiday- I embrace my Russian heritage everyday and I am proud of it! Heritage Day in South Africa is also known as “Braai (barbeque) day”, as that’s one of the things South Africans love doing the most. And just it time for the Braai, I have a very casual outfit idea for you, and this is not the last time you will be seeing this dress!
I got this black midi dress from Cotton On, and I immediately thought of all the different ways I can wear it. I think this is the invest piece of this season, and I will show you why so in the next week! I have done this simple black midi dress 3 ways- Casual, Work-friendly and for a Night Out. It was just R300, but I have seen Zara and Forever New offer a similar version of it if you are looking for different quality/material. Today I am showing you how to wear it in a very casual way, for a weekend lunch, a braai or to run errands!
I love the fit of the dress- it is tight but not in a way that it makes me feel uncomfortable. It hugs you in all the right places, and the fact that it is just black creates a plain canvas to paint the rest of your outfit on. I didn’t add any accessories for this look, but instead I added this denim jacket and sneakers. Wearing your kicks with dresses is such a hot trend this season! If you are not sure about the trend, try it out like this and see how you feel. Personally I have been loving it!
I hope you guys have a lovely day tomorrow!
