Outfit Of The Day- I’m a 90s Kid

90s look

Hello guys! Sorry for a bit of a silence last week- I honestly did not feel motivated to blog due to some occurrences in my life. But everything is back to normal now and I am back! I have learnt to schedule posts in advance so the silence won’t happen again 🙂 I’m trying to get a lot of my March content done so stick around :)!

I love the fact that I was born in the 90s(1990 to be exact), because it was one of the coolest decades of the last century. It gave us awesome things like Britney Spears, the Tamagoci, Titanic, Spice Girls, Clueless, Friends and Bill Clinton saying that he did not have sexual relations with that woman. It was also the era where grunge was born and Kate Moss defined the term “herione chic”. On the style side it gave us the denim trend, crop tops, Madonnas cone bra and a lot of tartan. Okay so not all trends were here to stay(bye bye cone bra!), but the 90s definitely had some awesome style moments which I am glad are trending in 2015!

I wanted to have a little bit of fun with the 90s trend because it is my decade, and played around a little bit with the trend but in a more modern,2015 way. I have always loved denim, and the 2015 way to do denim is definitely the boyfriend jeans(which I love!). Crop tops are still hot, and I can’t get enough of my Mr.Price one! I will be so sad to pack it away when winter comes. And remember those metallic tattoos that everyone was wearing back then? Well they are back with a bang! I added some to my wrist to make it look like a bracelet! Flash mirror lenses and my favorite shoes at the moment, finish off my 90s inspired look today.

I’m loving some of the 90’s trends that are making a comeback such as baby doll dresses and velvet and “tattoo”chokers, but some them should really stay in the past. (I’m looking at you, mud brown lipstick, jelly shoes and sunflower print!)

I love the boyfriend jeans you’ve paired with the crop top with that lace detail. If I had your body I would definitely mimic your style! 🙂
