It’s a Cherry Bomb over here today! I am such a sucker for eye products as of the last 3 years, and anytime I see a new eyeshadow palette from Urban Decay, I have to have it! I’m still loving the vibes from last years Naked Heat launch, and this year it seems like there were a few more eye palettes that launched. I added Born to Run, Backtalk, Beached and Kirsten Leanne palettes to my collection, but the most anticipated launch of the year for me was Naked Cherry. I love pinks and burgundies, because they work so well with blue eyes, so I couldn’t wait to play with the palette! I also recently tried out a bunch of new Maybelline eye products which I loved, so I decided to do a look using all of these products, and call it my Cherry Big Shot look! 🙂
The good news today is that you can win ALL of the products that I used in this look today! That’s a Naked Cherry Palette(R875), a Volum’ Express Colossal Big Shot Mascara(R150), a Big Shot Tinted Primer(R90), Colossal Kajal Liner(R60), Tattoo Brow Pen(R105) and a Vivid Hot Lacquer(R155)! Let’s dig into each product, shall we?
The Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette has a sexy vibe that’s more tart than sweet. With 12 never-before-picked neutrals, this vamped-up cherry-hued palette is sure to bring out your sultriest, most tempting eye looks ever. These 12 all-new shades include an array of soft mattes and sizzling metallic, ranging from creamy ivory and shimmering coppers and plums to the most intense black cherry. For this look I used Feels and Devilish in the crease, Ambitious on the eyelid and Bang Bang on the brow bone. I used just a little bit of Privacy to darken the corners of the eyes, and Turn On in the eye duct area. For my bottom lid, I used the Love Drug Pencil from the collection, and a little bit more of Privacy. There are many ways that you could play around with Naked Cherry, this being a more evening look. For a day look I simply use Caution, Feels and Juicy, and it also look great.
What compliments any eyeshadow palette? A fabulous new mascara and eyeliner, of course! I started using the Maybelline Big Shot mascara last year, and I am a fan! It is definitely in my Top 3 Mascaras (the first being Lancome Monsieur Big, second is L’Oréal Lash Paradise, and third is Maybelline Big Shot). The new Volum’ Express Colossal Big Shot Mascara promises even bigger, blacker lashes, so I am all here for it! I really enjoyed the brush, as it has a multiplying effect on the lashes, and my lashes look very fluffy and voluminous with this mascara on.
Along with the new mascara, Maybelline also launched the Big Shot Tinted Primer(which is a mascara base). A lash primer is an interesting topic, and while I don’t always have time for it, when I do use it, I always see a major difference. Along with these 2 new products, I also used the Colossal Kajal Liner, a Vivid Hot Lacquer and the new Tattoo Artist Brow Pen. You can read my review of the lacquers here, which I do really like, and I spoke about the Eyeliner back in 2015 over on this post. The Tattoo Brow is nice because it creates brush-like strokes, but I don’t really need it. However if you do your brows, you might want to give this a try.
Now for the fun part- pop on over to my Instagram to win all of these products(@irinadoman). Winner will be randomly drawn on the 11th of November, and then contacted(the winner has 5 days to reply). Competition only open to residents of South Africa.
