Happy Monday guys! Okay no one panic, it’s officially March, eek! That means that here in South Africa we are slowy descending into autumn which makes me want to cry ugly tears. With winter upon us, I like to hang on to the thought of summer with a yummy fragrance that is fruity and sweet. And the new Si Eau De Toilette by Giorgio Armani is just that!
The new Si Eau De Toilette is a lighter version of the original Si and Si Intense. I have been familiar with the original Si as it is a signature fragrance of one of my fiends, and I have always loved the smell! It’s definitely on the sweet side with top notes of pear, bergamot and black currant being very prominent from the start. The middle notes of freesia and rose give the fragrance a floral kick and the scent is finished off with notes of vanilla and amber. The bottle is a pretty pastel pink hue with a nude cap that looks very similar to a precious stone on top.
The main difference it has from the original Si, is not it is not as intense. The notes and the scent of the perfumes are pretty similar, with the Eau De Toilette being more fresh and light. If you are looking for a perfume that will stay with you the whole day, than go for the original Si. However if you are looking for something a little bit more lighter, something that you can wear to work without the scent taking over and overpowering your office, then go for the Eau De Toilette. It’s very modern, crisp and fresh, and while I would recommend keeping the original Si for the winter months, the Eau De Toilette can be worn all year around.
I also really love the campaign for this perfume because it features the amazing Cate Blanchett. Cate is the epitome of style and grace, so having her as the face of Si, portrays the kind of woman who would be attracted to this fragrance. The one that says “SI” to love, joy, great style, independence and dreams in her life!
The Si Eau De Toilette is launching in South Africa this month and will retail for R995 for 50ml and R1395 for 100 ml.
