What do you pack for a quick island holiday when you only have carry-on luggage to spare? My big luggage bag for our #UDGetaway to Reunion Island trip was taken up with work things (towels, product, selfie sticks…anything but clothes!) but of course, I still wanted to look fab! That meant that I had to plan each outfit beforehand, but also plan them all carefully so the each outfit would fit in perfectly with the setting and could transition from day to night if needed. We were also doing an adventure activity that day (helicopter flight!) so I also had to make sure that I was comfortable enough for that. Moreover, we had the fancy dinner that night so many outfits were needed and so little space, but I made it work! If you are going for an island holiday, here are your must have items that will help you in any situation!
1. A dress that you could wear to the beach or to the party!
I know that the two categories usually do not collide, but always pack a great dress that would not look out of place on the beach or at the club! I love the off-the –shoulder vibe as it is casual enough for the beach, but dress it up with a pair of earrings and a nice shoes and you have a sultry night outfit right there! I love this dress that I found at Forever New- it has sheer sleeves so you will not be too hot on the beach or too cold on a night out. It is the perfect length and the floral print just adds to the whole holiday vibe! I dressed it up a little bit with these fab earrings from Lovisa and my custom-made Elizabeth Summers hat, don’t you love it?

2. An adventure outfit that is both fun and comfortable!
Whenever I need an outfit that must work for something a little more action-like, but I still want to look nice, I always reach for a jumpsuit. It is comfortable enough especially in a situation like a helicopter- no one wants their dress to be unexpectedly blown up from a near helicopter wind! I have featured this jumpsuit before and I love it- I am all about prints! A jumpsuit works in any situation so make sure to always pack one whenever you are heading, but an extra “fun print” one if you are heading to the tropics!:)

3. A fabulous night time outfit
Every once in a while an occasion comes around that you just NEED a show-stopping dress for! For me that occasion was the #UDGetaway Naked Heat dinner. I knew I wanted something sexy, something red but something that would not look ridiculous against a beach background. I found this dress on Superbalist and even though I was hesitant, I ordered it (I am not a huge fan of online shopping so I am always wary of it). When it arrived, it was not the perfect fit (I had to sow the straps a bit tighter) but with a little bit of thread and some safety pins, I made it work! I paired it with some sandals with a very small heel on them and another pair of gorgeous earrings from Lovisa.
Dress- Missguided at Superbalist
Earrings- Lovisa
My other vacay must-haves in terms of clothing are a great pair of jeans, a loose-fitted dress, sparkly sandals(they just take the look from day to night so easily), aviator sunnies and a great bikini! In terms of beauty, I could not live without my Urban Decay De-Slick Setting Spray(R450) and the Cannonball Waterproof Mascara(R340)
What are you island essentials? Hope you enjoyed these outfits!
